On Thanksgiving day, the Mission had its annual Thanksgiving Celebration. Your faithful support helped serve over 2,500 meals to the hungry!
On August 28, the Mission gave away over 300 backpacks filled with school supplies to needy children in our community!
On July 4th, the Mission served 550 meals at its annual Independence Day picnic. It was a beautiful day for the festivities which included live music and Healthy Hearts Fair events.
On Saturday May 30th, the Mission participated in the 21st Annual Freihofer's Community Walk. Thanks to our walkers and those that sponsored them we raised over $3,700 for Capital City Rescue Mission!
Easter Sunday, the Mission celebrated Christ's resurrection with a special dinner for the hungry and street-weary of the Capital Region. With your faithful support, we were able to serve close to 2,000 meals! Thank you for making it happen!
On Friday, February 13th, the Mission held a Valentine Appreciation Luncheon for all those volunteers who have helped keep the Mission going. It was wonderful to show our gratitude for their giving hearts.
Your compassionate support provided over 3,000 meals on Christmas Day! And because of your generosity, hundreds of people received a festive ham dinner and an array of Christmas gifts. Vicki came to the Mission on Christmas Day for the first time. "I am out of work and really appreciate being able to get hot Christmas meals to take home to my family."
